Sharapova versus Williams Wimbeldon Final
| Rating System: Matches are rated according to basic quality of play determined by the quantity of unforced errors . Other rating systems are under development. We have chosen the parameter " percentage of unforced errors" as out basic metric because of how unpleasant it is to watch matches that are filled with careless errors. After reviewing a wide selection of matches, we have decided on a nonlinear scale as follows: 0 to 14% is an exceptional level of play. Martina Hingis has played matches at this level. Hence 0-15 is denoted as exceptional. 15 to 19% is Excellent. 20-22% is very good. 23-26% is good; 27-33% is adequate; 34-40% is poor; Above 40% is very poor (there are plenty of examples). |
